The Urticaria Control Test 7 (UCT7) - non-commercial use

- Order number: MOX10040
The Urticaria Control Test 7 (UCT7) is a validated, easy to use tool to determine disease control in patients with chronic urticaria of all subforms (spontaneous and inducible). The UCT7 is designed as a retrospective instrument and may be evaluated directly, quickly and easily at the time of any chronic urticaria patient presentation. A cut-off value helps distinguish patients with poorly controlled urticaria from patients with well-controlled disease.
The UCT7 is based on the Urticaria Control Test (UCT), which was developed by a Charité team of scientist led by Dr. Karsten Weller and Dr. Marcus Maurer. Briefly, after a set of potential UCT items was developed, item evaluation and reduction were performed by means of impact analysis, regression analysis, and by checking for face validity. In addition, the items of the final UCT were tested for their validity and reliability during a validation study. Unlike the UCT, which measures disease control in the past 4 weeks, the UCT7 measures disease control in the past 7 days.
