The Urticaria Control Test (UCT) - non-commercial use
The Urticaria Control Test (UCT) is a validated, easy to use toll to determine disease control in pastients with chronic urticaria of all subforms (spontaneous and iducible). The UCT is designed as a retrospective instrument and may be evaluated directly, fastly and easily at the time of any chronic urticaria patient presentation.
The UCT was developed by a Charité team of scientist led by Dr. Karsten Weller and Dr. Marcus Maurer. Briefly, after a set of potential UCT items was developed, item evaluation and reduction were performed by means of impact analysis, regression analysis, and by checking for face validity. In addition, the items of the final UCT were tested for their validity and reliability during a validation study. The UCT is currently available for the use in Germany (german) and the USA (American-english).
