Mastozytose-Aktivitäts-Score (MAS)

- Order number: MOX10032
This questionnaire for assessing disease activity in patients with cutaneous and indolent systemic mastocytosis is a symptom questionnaire that was specially developed for patients with mastocytosis. The Mastocytosis Activity Score (MAS) is easy to use and has been validated for patients with cutaneous and indolent systemic mastocytosis.
The MAS was developed at Charité by a team led by PD Dr. Frank Siebenhaar, PD Dr. Karsten Weller and Prof. Dr. Marcus Maurer. By means of structured patient interviews, a list of complaints was initially drawn up using established procedures and in accordance with international recommendations. Using impact and factor analyses as well as by face validity, the 9 most common and most relevant symptoms were selected for the final MAS instrument. The instrument was tested for validity and reliability as well as examined with regard to possible influencing factors.
The MAS was developed for use in Germany (German) and the United States (US-English). Validated translations for the application of the instrument in other countries are also available or are currently being developed.
